- Aug. 2008, SMA/Shuimin AG, being a long time supporter of US Olympic team, our president Dr. Walter Zhang attended the 29th Olympic Games held from August 08 to 24 in Beijing, and cheered for both US team and Chinese team.
- July 2008, Ellen Frank, the Global Procurement Manager from HITACHI inspected our SMA US East Coast warehouse. Also, she spent time with executives in Connecticut office to discuss the logistic management among SMA warehouse in China and US to reduce the stock in their production plant. The operation manager had shown her the SMA world leading online PO tracking system and storage checking system during the meeting.
- May, 2007: The President of Standard Manufacturer for America/Shuimin AG and the Marketing Associate from Connecticut office attend the National Restaurant Association 2007 Show in Chicago and visit some of our customers in IL, WI and MN. The companies visited are among those we help to save thirty to seventy per cent in production costs annually.
- Jan., 2006: The number of Requests for Quote (RFQ’s) received by SMA Connecticut office exceed 100 daily, covering the following industrial sectors: Engine and Turbines; Farm and Garden Tractors and Home Lawn Equipment; Construction, Mining and Materials Handling; Metalworking Machinery and Equipment; Special Industry Machinery Metal Working; General Industry, Machinery and Equipment; Computer and Office Equipment; Refrigeration and Service Industry Machinery; and Industry and Commercial machinery.
- Feb., 2006: Dr. W. Zhang from SMA/Shuimin AG visited a proposal site for wetland protection located in Cixi, China, with the experts from both Cornell University and Tsinghua University. This project is sponsored by both Zhejiang government and Asian Development Bank (ADB).
- March, 2006: SMA/Shuimin AG held annual warehouse and logistics consolidation and discussion. That requires all the warehouses, the storage facilities distributed both in China and in USA, as well as the international and domestic logistics agents should work on SMA new web based data base.
- Sept., 2005: SMA Account Executive, Ms. Norma Wagner, won 1st place in the five dance championship in Mystic, CT, USA. SMA plans to setup an Employee Fitness Club in the forthcoming SMA building, Ms. Wagner will instruct several dances and aerobic classes.

- July, 2005: National Register's WHO'S WHO in Executive and Professionals recognized and honored Dr. Walter S. Zhang as 2005 Global WHO"S WHO member, Number ID 2598.
- June, 2005: Dr. Walter S. Zhang, CEO of SMA/Shuimin AG is invited by Vice President Dick Cheney of the United States of America for The President's Dinner to honor President George W. Bush on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 in Washington Convention Center, D.C.
- May, 2005: SMA/Shuimin AG has been selected to attend the Beijing 2005 Global Fortune Forum.
